Greg actually busts out some serious exercises. He does a bunch of strongman-style lifts, HIIT, and real weight training. Before reading the article I would have scoffed at this guy, but his training and philosophies on life, success, business, and motivation, all ring true.

Yeah Greg is the real deal, no doubt. He does a few things that are old school (slow, sustained cardio for fat loss) etc... but you can't hate on his results. The dude looks shredded.

You'd be surprised by how many people still bank on endurance cardio for fat loss, and honestly they might not be wrong. Think about it this way: you're lifting with high intensity 4 or 5 times a week, trying to keep all your muscle mass while in a calorie deficit. Now throw in 3-4 HIIT sessions and you've got yourself a recipe for overtraining. For someone who can tolerate 5 heavy lifting sessions in one week, endurance cardio is one of the few options that can burn additional calories while not also destroying recovery and risking overtraining. HIIT as the only form of acceptable fat burning cardio is an extremist viewpoint, is somewhat of a fad in my opinion, and I think we'll still see people talking about endurance cardio to get shredded. I personally see the value in HIIT training for fat loss, but I have to concede that endurance cardio can be appropriate in certain situations.
