Old Wisdom on Daily Meal Frequency, Why are you Eating so much? | The IF Life

I have been recently going through old books online, and it amazes me how much simple wisdom and insight has been said so long ago…yet seems lost in today’s information overload.

It is almost like 100+ years ago people were saying what we needed to do to stay out of trouble, but we ignored it and just went on our merry way (and are now paying for it).

I am fascinated about older habits from ancient civilizations and as I read more, I discover that almost any civilization eated less meals a day and they were more healthier/athletic than we are today
example: even my grandmother wakes up every day at 6 am and she eats only about 2 meals a day and she is the most healthy old person I've ever seen...guess old people from country FTW

Well, you do need be careful when using that type of logic, for example; eating like a caveman. And let's be honest leech therapy is a fashion faux pas. But in this case it works it, the amount of meals doesn't really matter and never has.

I like the option of having bread and ale for breakfast! On a serious note, it brings forward the concept of structure, we seem to jump on the "little and often" band wagon too easily. The point about breakfast is great as well, I personally think it is the most important meal of the day as it works for me this way but I believe that modern advertising and crappy food can cloud everyone's judgement.
