Seriously though, avoiding carbs might get the end results, but is sacrificing a lot of nutrition in getting there.
It's sometimes said that super active people do better with higher carbs than sedentary folks. I'm very active, but not as active as him.
Because he is doing this with Paleo foods, which tend to have higher nutritional value than the usual foods that people go for when eating higher carb (like grains), he is likely meeting his nutritional needs very well. He wouldn't give up animal foods and fat knowing what he knows about health (I have his books and thus have a general sense of what he might be eating). But I wish he had gone into detail about what he actually eats to get that high carb count daily. He mentions sweet potato only. Likely he eats vegetables and fruit too, but who knows. He didn't say.
